Policies and Procedures

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

For the Racing School, we supply the helmets and racing suits. You should wear comfortable street clothes suitable for varying conditions. Sunscreen is a good idea, as you will spend a good deal of time outside. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes appropriate for driving(nothing with heels), tennis shoes, deck shoes or running shoes are fine. if you have a wide foot, you should avoid beveled soles that stick out beyond the edge of your foot. These can get caught in the pedals.

Please bring a notebook and pen with you.

SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS:

If the weather is extremely bad, please call us. We have a 24 hour answering service and will leave a message only if the school has been canceled.In the event we are unable to conduct or complete a class,we will reschedule.Should the school need to be canceled, it will be done at least 2 days in advance. An attempt will always be made to have a school at the scheduled times.

We will provide lunch and refreshments

Welcome and introduction

Description of Legends and 600 Racing

Flags: green, yellow, red, black, white, checkered, blue w/yellow

Hand signals: shifting, clutch, one-lap, etc.

Track walk: Grid & line-up area. Cones. Running the grove/line. Braking/acceleration points. SMOOTH & CONSISTENT =FAST!. SOMETIMES SLOWER IS FASTER.

Car overview. Steering wheel/belts/safety/instrument panel/gages Pedals/shifting ‘when in a spin’ ‘when in doubt’

Do Not Drive Over Your Head!

Slow in pits/watch yourself in/out of car

Keep track of your helmet/gloves etc.

9:30 students arrive

10:30 classroom

11:30 track inspection

12:00 lunch break

1:00 practice sessions

2:30 class discussion

3:30 practice sessions

4:30 qualifing

5:30 wrap up discussion
