GOOD MORNING WHO I AM AND MY QUALIFICATIONS

WELCOME TO THE SCHOOL Find out the experience of the students in racing or Legends

DRIVING A LENGENDS CAR How they differ from the other cars, driving

style will effect handling. Location of pedals

and switches. Shifting pattern, how to shift

and the gear to be used at this track.

BRAKING & THROTTLE CONTROL Brake with either foot- two pedals. Legends

will spin tires very quickly, move throttle

slowly.

HAND POSITION 3 and 9. Keep thumbs out of wheel. Check

steering wheel and make sure is locked.

SEATING POSITION If they can’t see out, may not be looking far

enough ahead.

EYES Look ahead where you want to go.

SPINNING Put clutch in and brake. The car will stop quickly on the inside of the track and save

the starter and clutch.

THINGS TO LOOK FOR Push or loose are part of knowing what the

car is doing.

DRIVING THE TRACK LINE Describe what they are and how to drive

around them

BFG TIRE TRACTION Not a lot of traction making the driver more

important

SLOWER MAY BE FASTER What would seem to be slow but is smooth

and on line is faster.

FLAGS What they mean - green, white(one more

lap) yellow (caution, go slowly) and

checkered.

PULLING OFF THE TRACK Where to exit, where to park the car for

the next session. Where to find instructor to

ask questions.
